Morning Energy Elixir

I am really trying to eliminate coffee from my morning routine but it has been very difficult. I decided to dig and find out what others are drinking in the morning to give them a boost of energy before going to the gym in the morning. I came up with this recipe below and so far so good. I haven't had coffee in two days and I feel great! I promise it's not nasty but it may take some getting used to.

 

12 oz Matcha Green Tea

2 oz Yerba Mate

1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

2 oz Coconut Water

2 slices Fresh Lemon

1 finger Fresh Ginger

3 stalks Fresh Cilantro

1 dash Turmeric

1 dash Black Pepper

1 dash Cayenne Pepper

 

Shake it up and drink!

 

Can be served warm or cold.

 

This is my newest morning coffee alternative.

 

I'll only allow myself 1 cup of black coffee in the afternoon if I get the urge to take a nap at my desk.
